Dye based inkpads.

Dye based inkpads are quick drying, acid free inkpads which give sharp definition & are ideal for images with fine detail.
These are the best inks for general and office use, and for children.
Most of the colours are strong and vibrant but the inks are translucent so to see the ink colour images need to be stamped on light coloured paper.
Dye based inkpads usually dry too quickly to be used with embossing powders.
There are several brands of dye based inkpads available including Impress and Adirondack, as well as the Kaleidacolor range of rainbow inkpads.
The inkpads are all 76mm by 47mm but the raised felt pad allows any size stamp to be inked.
Refill bottles are available for the Impress inkpads.

Archival Inkpads™

StazOn Inkpad

Permanent inkpads are,

waterproof on most surfaces including acetate and Shrink plastic.
Acid free, fade resistant and archival quality for scrapbooking.
Smear resistant when used with watercolour markers.
Quick drying on most paper surfaces.

StazOn is a solvent-based ink pad. Designed for decorating non-porous surfaces, StazOn is easy to use and clean up. StazOn is different from other solvent inks because it doesn't require re-inking between applications and the smell of the ink is very mild.

Refill bottles are available for most of the permanent inkpads.

Pigment ink has a thicker consistency so the colours are denser and more opaque. The ink also takes longer to dry so is suitable for embossing. Most papers and card can be printed with pigment ink except coated or glossy card. The ink will not dry on glossy paper but the image can be embossed. Pigment inks hardly fade with time.
For general use and for children dye based inkpads are better.

Fabric inkpads.

Fabrico Inkpad

Fabrico inkpads are ideal for stamping on cotton and silk. Once stamped the ink has to be heat set using an iron to make the image permanent.

There are two sizes of Fabrico inkpad. The regular inkpad size is 75 x 46mm and the cube size is 25 x 25mm but the raised foam pad allows any size stamp to be inked.
Fabrico colours are also available as dual tipped pens. The pens have both a brush and bullet tip. fabrico pens do not need heat setting.
Refill bottles (30ml) are available.

Chalk inkpads.

Chalk Inkpad

Versamagic Chalk inkpads share the resilience of pigment ink but stamp and blend like dye ink, drying quickly on absorbent surfaces. Permanent when heat set, they resist smearing, bleeding or fading even when air dried.
Chalk inkpads give a very flat muted finish which is ideal for background techniques.
Now available as Dew Drops™ inkpads approx. 25 x 40 mm with both a round end and an elongated tip.

Distress Reinker

Tim Holtz Distress Inks are a collection of twenty four acid-free, non-toxic, fade resistant, water-based dye inks. They're perfect for the new vintage, stained, aged effect crafters are creating in their altered books, scrapbook pages, cards and paper craft projects. Tim selected the colors and helped develop these inks to produce a realistic, weathered look on paper, photos and decorative fibers. The 6 new, colourful Distress Inks afford added versatility when photo tinting and color layering with his six original, award winning tones. The 2" x 2" pads are now made with a higher raised felt for easier use with direct to paper techniques.
Re-inkers available in .5 oz. amber glass bottles with eye drop applicators and Distress Embossing powders that match the Distress ink colours.
