Instructions for Non Sequitur Angel Card
Instructions are from one of the popular classes given by Freyja
You will need:
- Main White Card 13cm square
- Two Pieces of White Card 9cm and 11.5cm square.
- Two Pieces of Dark Blue Card 10.5 and 12.5 cm square
- Piece of Heat Resistant Acetate 10cm square
- Stamps: Non Sequitur 'Winter' Plate, 'Angel with Cello' and 'Snow flake'.
- Fabrico 'Midnight' ink pad.
- Versamark ink pad.
- Silver Embossing powder
- Silver Thread
- Sparkles.
- 4 x Stationary Paper Fasteners
- Double Sided Adhesive Tape or Xyron.
Directions:
- Stamp the Angel with Fabrico onto the smallest pieces of white card and trim the edges.
- Mount onto the smallest blue card and trim again. See card above.
- Emboss the edges of the acetate with silver and fix to the blue card with the paper fasteners.
- Mount on to the white and blue layers trimming each layer as necessary if the image is not quite square then finally mount onto the main card.
- Wind the thread around the paper fasteners and finish with a bow.
- Stamp and silver emboss three snowflakes onto a scrap of blue card and cut round.
- Adhere to the card as shown and add a touch of Sparkles to the sleeve rosette.
Variations:
- The solid parts of this stamp need very juicy, strong colour and Fabrico works very well with this image. Try other well-inked pads or try placing the card on top of the stamp and gently pressing all over - with practise it really works for a good image. Some stampers prefer a brayer to apply colour.
- Vary the colours - greens, browns, Brilliance 'Lightning Black' and deep reds all look very good. Try lighter colours and pastel card for a more delicate look.
- If short of card use 3 instead of 5 layers. This still will make an attractive card.
- This card is not only for Christmas; vary the embellishments for a different look.
