Instructions for Pearl Ex card

The instructions are from one of the popular classes given by Freyja

You will need

• Magenta Stamp 02.106.Q
• Versamark Inkpad.
• Blade Rubber Gold Detail embossing powder.
• Macro Pearl, Interference Gold, and Copper PearlEx.
• Gum Arabic.
• Appliglue ­ White Pearl.
• Small Piece of Heat Resistant Acetate.
• Dark Green Card Stock.
• Gold Card.
• Gold Thread and Crystal Beads for Embellishment.
• Acrylic Paint Brushes nos. 1 and 4

Instructions

1. Stamp and emboss the image on the green card and the acetate.
2. Mix very small amounts of the three PearlEx colours with a little gum Arabic to make very weak colours.
   The effect will be lost if paint is thick. Do not waste powder as more can easily be added.
3. Apply as shown, paint over embossing, as it will reject the paint.
4. Cut the acetate to make a pleasing overlay section and attach to main card with silicone glue or glitter glue.
5. Mount onto main card, colour berries with Appliglue and add threads and beads.

Now try this

• The above card effect only works on dark cardstock, however interference colours do work with light card if darker pigment - Posh Impressions Inkability, a touch of acrylic paint or regular PearlEx ­ is added. This will give a lovely iridescent shine.
• Glitter glue, or glue/glitter for ultimate sparkle, can be used instead of Appliglue for berries.
• If no acetate is available just stamp an extra image on card and cut out and mount a corner section with foam tape or silicone glue.
• Embossing with sparkle gold will add contrast to the main image
