Rubber Stamping Classes

Learn a new technique or be inspired by our popular classes with Susie Jefferson and Freyja.
The classes are small, only seven per class, so book early.
Most of the classes start in the morning at 11.00
The downstairs shop will usually be closed till 2pm.

Newcomers and experienced stampers are welcome to all our classes.

5th July - DARLING LITTLE BOOKS
Class Teacher - Susie Jefferson

What could be sweeter than a miniature book? They are nowhere near as complex as they look (that's our secret!) and are perfect for keepsakes or presents. This could be the start of an addiction!

The class will include how to make:

TRAVEL PORTFOLIO with hidden pockets to keep airline tickets, passport etc
CONCERTINA BOOK with pockets to tuck photos & other memorabilia in
STAR TUNNEL BOOK which opens out to fasten in a circle

Even if you have never made a book before, you will be able to make these! As always, you will be given a comprehensive and fully illustrated hand-out to take home with you.

Please bring: bone folder, metal-edged ruler & cutting knife with a new blade.

19th July - BEYOND THE GRID

The simple but stunning Grid Card uses an easy masking technique which anyone can do, taking rubber stamping to a new level. The emphasis is on texture and colour, shine and shadow. Retiform takes this simple technique one step further with matt finishes contrasted with pearlised and metallics. We'll make both!

The class will include how to make:

Add shimmer backgrounds with Radiant Mists
Special effects achieved with simple masking techniques
Use your favourite stamps in a whole new way
Combine dye & distress inks with matt chalk inks & metallic inks

This is a no-stress class. Not just cards - we will also make a fun Tag Book in class and adorn it with eyelets, fibres & bead embellishments!

26th July - Alcohol Inks
Class Teacher - Susie Jefferson

Everyone's talking about alcohol inks - but what can you do with them? Come and find out! These wonderful inks, in stunning colours, can be applied to surfaces you may never have thought of: glass, metal, clay...

This class is the perfect opportunity to play around with these inks and try them out.

Make beautiful backgrounds with photographic papers
Transform clay & ceramic pots
Alter mirrors and Metal tins

You are only limited by your imagination! And to provide you with even more inspiration, there will be a comprehensive set of notes to take home with you.

Saturday Classes last two hours and start at 11 am.
The two hour class cost £12.
Please pay in advance to confirm your booking.
There is usually no need to bring anything for the class.
